About Us

Cheer Seattle is an all-adult, non-profit cheerleading organization that raises funds and awareness for the LGBTQIA+ community. We provide local nonprofits with the resources and support to accomplish their goals within the community, and our volunteers raise funds, awareness, and spirits through inspiring performances and inclusive community outreach.

We recognize the importance of equity and equality for our LGBTQIA+ community and amplify this through charitable cheerleading. Since our inception in 2014, we have raised over $100k for local nonprofits in the Greater Seattle area.

Cheer Seattle is a proud member of the Pride Cheerleading Association (PCA), a global family of community-based cheerleading squads that support people living with life-challenging conditions in the LGBTQIA+ community and beyond. Together, we are a powerful family with one common mission - cheering for good.

Cheer Seattle Keeps It SPICE-y

Support Philanthropy Inclusivity Compassion Empowerment

Not only are we passionate about supporting our local LGBTQ+ community, but we also prioritize making cheerleading accessible to all. Our team is made up of a diverse group of volunteers. We have members of various athletic and cheerleading backgrounds, sexual orientations, gender identities, ages, socioeconomic status, abilities, neurodivergence, religions, races, ethnicities, and more.

We look for ways to include our volunteers in collaborating toward our common goals both on and off the mat. Each of our volunteers has valuable skills to bring to one or more of the following committees: Brand, Diversity Equity & Inclusion (DEI), Events, Information Technology (IT), and Operations.

Our Brand Committee collaborates with team leadership to make decisions on the way we present ourselves with our social media, wearables, and more.

Our DEI Committee creates regular diversity trainings for the team and collaborates with leadership to make sure the organization is as equitable and inclusive as possible.

Our Events Committee fields incoming events from the community and ensures every event is organized from beginning to end.

Our IT Committee is responsible for the overall technology needs of the organization.

Our Operations Committee is responsible for team recruitment and administration that support the mission, values, and strategic goals of the organization.
